According to PeckShieldAlert monitoring, the hacker who previously attacked the Verus-Ethereum Bridge and stole approximately 5,402 ETH has returned 4,052.4 ETH to the project team's address, accounting for about 75% of the stolen funds, and retained about 1,350 ETH as a bounty. This attack exploited a flaw in the cross-chain bridge verification logic, transferring out approximately 11.58 million USD worth of assets from the bridging contract by forging cross-chain transfer messages.
