Bank of America Discloses Nearly $53 Million in Crypto ETF Holdings, Including $37 Million in IBIT

On May 23, Bank of America submitted its Q1 2026 13F filing to the U.S. SEC, revealing that it currently holds nearly $53 million in cryptocurrency ETFs and crypto-related stocks, including ETFs related to Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana. Among these, Bank of America holds approximately 972,600 shares of BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, valued at about $37 million, making it its largest single crypto ETF position. Additionally, it holds around $7.98 million in Bitwise BITB, $3.32 million in Grayscale Bitcoin Mini ETF, and $1.71 million in Fidelity FBTC. Regarding Ethereum, Bank of America holds about $1.06 million in BlackRock's ETHA ETF. Besides ETFs, the filing also shows that Bank of America holds stocks in crypto-related public companies such as Coinbase, Strategy, Robinhood, Circle, and SoFi. The market believes that traditional financial institutions are continuing to expand their indirect exposure to the digital asset market through ETFs and stocks, further strengthening the trend of institutionalization.
