Abstract generation in progress

AIMPACT News: On May 15 (UTC+8), according to Beating Monitoring, Alibaba today released Qoder 1.0, upgrading the product positioning from an AI IDE to an autonomous agent development workbench. The new version upgrades the core Quest mode to an independent window, running in parallel with the code editor. After developers define their goals, the intelligent agent can take over the complete task workflow of execution, verification, and delivery.

For multi-task support, Qoder 1.0 allows developers to run multiple agent tasks across different codebases simultaneously within a unified panel. After tasks are completed, a delivery checklist containing documentation and code changes is automatically generated for manual review.

At the same time, the new version introduces a team-level knowledge engine for the first time, integrating previously scattered developer practices, project architecture, and technology stack specifications. Alibaba’s official data shows that after the engine went live, code retention increased by 11% and the number of dialogue rounds decreased by 33%.

In addition, an expert panel composed of roles such as planning, coding, and testing has been officially introduced into the Quest window. Developers can also customize their own dedicated agent teams, configuring them with specific domain knowledge and external tool interface connections. (Source: BlockBeats)

11% code retention rate improvement looks modest, but cutting conversation rounds by one-third really saves time

Expert group + custom AI agent team, this combination has a bit of the meaning of an "AI outsourcing company."

Alibaba's development tools have always been somewhat lacking; this time, let's see if the Quest mode can turn things around.

The agent handles the entire process, and figuring out who takes the blame during debugging is also a philosophical question.

Separating the Quest mode is a pretty key change; finally, no more toggling back and forth in the IDE.

The dedicated AI team can be customized, and large companies are likely to develop various "departmental dialects."

Designing a multi-project parallel panel well is the key; otherwise, it's just a premium version tab.

A 33% reduction in dialogue turns indicates genuine progress in understanding context, not just arbitrary number crunching.

Quest mode independent window, it feels like in the future, "request submission" and "viewing results" will become two separate roles.
