BlockBeats News, May 23 — A 2026 Q1 13F filing submitted by Bank of America to the U.S. SEC shows that it currently holds nearly $53 million worth of cryptocurrency ETFs and crypto-related stocks, including ETFs related to Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana.

Among them, Bank of America holds approximately 972.6k shares of BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT, valued at about $37 million, making it its largest single crypto ETF position. Additionally, it holds about $7.98 million in Bitwise BITB, $3.32 million in Grayscale Bitcoin Mini ETF, and $1.71 million in Fidelity FBTC. Regarding Ethereum, Bank of America holds about $1.06 million in BlackRock's ETHA ETF.

Besides ETFs, the document also shows that Bank of America owns stocks of crypto-related publicly traded companies such as Coinbase, Strategy, Robinhood, Circle, and SoFi. The market believes that traditional financial institutions are continuously expanding their indirect exposure to the digital asset market through ETFs and stocks, further strengthening the institutionalization trend.

BTC-2.71%
ETH-3.07%

It seems that Wall Street is playing a very new game: wanting the gains of crypto and the compliance of stocks.

Institutionalization is both good and bad; liquidity has arrived, but is the spirit of wild crypto still alive?

SoFi has been included in the list, and Bank of America's research is quite detailed, not overlooking niche targets.

53 million compared to trillions in asset management is just a small fraction, but even a small fraction shows attitude; the trend has shifted.

Bank of America’s allocation is quite balanced, with a dual approach of ETFs and stocks. Established institutions are also starting to understand the importance of diversification.

Robinhood, the haven for retail investors, is it even worth it? Is Bank of America trying to have it both ways?

$53 million isn't a big deal for traditional banks, but the signaling is off the charts, and institutional entry will only accelerate.

Buy all Grayscale Minis, it seems they really want to lower costs, and institutions also find management fees expensive.
