Abstract generation in progress
AIMPACT news: On May 15 (UTC+8), an analysis report based on enterprise AI usage data shows that Anthropic’s enterprise-level AI adoption rate reached 34.4% in April 2026, surpassing OpenAI’s 32.3% for the first time and becoming the leading generative AI provider by enterprise market share. The data shows that the overall AI adoption rate among U.S. enterprises has risen to 50.6%, and enterprises’ reliance on large-model tools is increasing rapidly. The Claude model processes more than 25 billion API calls per month, about 45% of which come from enterprise users. The report states that Anthropic’s growth mainly comes from its advantageous products in software development and documentation-intensive workflows (such as Claude Code), with higher penetration in industries such as finance, legal, and R&D. At the same time, more than 70% of Fortune 100 companies have integrated Claude-related tools to some extent, driving large-scale adoption in enterprise scenarios. The analysis suggests that the enterprise AI market is shifting from a “brand-led phase” to a “performance-and-cost-driven multi-vendor competitive landscape,” and that falling model switching costs are making market share fluctuations more pronounced. However, the data also indicates that competition remains highly dynamic: enterprises are quickly adjusting their model choices in response to changes in price, performance, and stability, and the leading advantage may reverse in the short term. 34.4% vs 32.3% The gap is actually very small; maybe it will switch back again next year.

Anthropic's growth is rapid but from a small base; whether it can maintain the top position still depends on next year.
