It's raining today and the roads are still congested, and I only just realized that the coffee has gone cold: recently, hardware wallets are out of stock again, and there are a bunch of phishing links flying around in the group chat, making it easier to click the wrong thing when you're busier. Basically, if your asset size isn't large, like me, with "tentacle positions" scattered everywhere, don't force yourself to buy a hardware wallet; treat your hot wallet as disposable gloves: use a new wallet for testing new protocols, and don't mix it with your main holdings. When you truly accumulate enough to be "worried about losing sleep," then a hardware wallet becomes valuable; beyond that, single-point risk is too uncomfortable, multi-signature is more secure, but daily operations become a bit more troublesome. I think social recovery is suitable for people who are afraid of losing their seed phrases, but you need to choose reliable teammates/guardians, or else social recovery could turn into social death... Anyway, I haven't clicked any links lately, even if it means missing airdrops.
