Recently, Japanese future person Reina Kokubu came out to speak again. She claims to have traveled back from 2058, and her previous predictions about the Tokyo Olympics, the Nikkei index, and Shinzo Abe were quite accurate, so she still has many fans online. This time, she also offered advice on crypto investments, saying she bought over 1,400 Ethereum with her father's account and buried them in her yard, planning to dig them up in 2058. She chose Ethereum instead of Bitcoin mainly because she is optimistic about the future application potential of the Ethereum ecosystem.
But what's interesting here is that Reina Kokubu said, based on her knowledge from the future, that although Bitcoin will rise to a super high level (she said about 780 million yen), at that time it will "only be sell, not buy." It sounds like she means that in the future, Bitcoin might not be able to be added to or traded, so buying now might still have a chance? Her supporters were excited when they heard this, but I think this kind of statement is actually quite vague.
Looking back at Reina Kokubu's previous "successful predictions," some did hit the mark, but others pointed out that these might just be based on the economic trends or political rumors at the time, with room for post-hoc adjustments. Plus, her statements often contain ambiguous parts, making them hard to fully verify. The scientific community also doubts time travel, so whether to believe it or not depends on the individual.
Honestly, whether Reina Kokubu is truly a future person or just a clever hype master, she has indeed sparked a lot of discussion about the long-term value of Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, when it comes to investing, you still need to assess your own risk tolerance and not be led by predictions and hype. Currently, with BTC at 77.5K and ETH at 2.14K, fluctuations are normal. The key is to stay rational and not blindly chase highs. Regardless of whether Reina Kokubu's identity is real or not, the most important thing is to manage your own risks well.
