On May 22nd, 16 years ago, a programmer exchanged 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas.


Perhaps many people think that today this is a very loss-making deal,
but in my view, it was this pioneering physical transaction that initiated a series of butterfly effects in Bitcoin's value,
leading to today's BTC.
The first person seemed to lose out, but perhaps it was that loss-making trade that opened the door to a new era.
