To be fair, MicroStrategy really did float at a considerable profit at the peak—however, they didn’t arbitrage when liquidity was at its best. Instead, they cut losses in the places where they were losing to free up cash flow. In the end, it all comes down to greed—getting caught by FOMO. Seen this way, once institutions enter the crypto world, they’re still just “rich-but-susceptible” retail targets. 🤷🏻‍♀️

MicroStrategy added 520 BTC on 6.22. On 6.29, it announced a dividend-paying liquidity plan. It mentioned that cash reserves can cover 17.4 months of dividends, and the board authorized a BTC cash-out amount of 1.25 billion. After giving everyone a heads-up, it cashed out BTC worth $225 million this week. MicroStrategy’s current holdings: 843,775 BTC. Average cost: about $75,653 per BTC. There’s still another $1 billion of sell pressure coming soon?
