ME News message: On May 22 (UTC+8), Japan announced that the first Persian Gulf oil tanker to pass through the Strait of Hormuz since the outbreak of the Iran war is about to arrive. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan said in a briefing document on Friday that the ultra-large crude oil carrier “Idemitsu Maru,” which passed through the waterway at the end of April, could dock as early as next Monday. The agency said that the vessel carrying 2 million barrels of Saudi crude oil is proceeding as planned to the Aichi refinery of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. The Middle East war has triggered an unprecedented energy supply shock, prompting major importers across Asia to seek alternative crude oil and natural gas shipments worldwide. Like other developed countries, Japan has also taken action to use strategic reserves to buffer the impact of the conflict. (Jin10) (Source: ODAILY)

Is Idemitsu Kosan's stock price about to move? Is the positive news already reflected, or should I sell in advance?

Shiguangwan's move is truly brave; crossing the Strait of Hormuz with 2 million barrels of oil, the shipowner's insurance must be costing more, right?

After all these years of developing alternative energy, when something really happens, we still have to rely on old fossil fuels.

The strategic reserve has finally come in handy; all those taxes paid regularly were not in vain.
