Following this situation in Iran, it seems that Esmail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force, was executed by the IRGC. It’s quite interesting to note that he had previously escaped several assassination attempts, making him an almost untouchable figure in the Iranian political scene.

The curious detail is that Esmail Qaani was with Khamenei during the coordinated bombing between the US and Israel, but managed to get out of that critical moment. Still, it wasn’t enough to prevent what happened afterward.

Before all of this, there were internal suspicions that Esmail Qaani might be a possible Mossad agent, which led the IRGC to detain him for investigation. It seems these internal suspicions may have influenced the final decision.

It’s a very significant political move within the Iranian power structure. The removal of a figure like Esmail Qaani, who commanded the Quds Force, indicates deep tensions within the country’s security hierarchies. These kinds of internal purges usually signal instability behind the scenes of power.
