Privacy blockchain startup AmericanFortress announces the launch of a patented quantum-resistant signature scheme, claiming it can protect existing assets on chains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Tron from future quantum computing attacks without the need for large-scale fund migrations. The scheme plans to implement a "defensive freeze" on Pre-BIP32 Bitcoin addresses from the Satoshi Nakamoto era through compatibility soft forks and zero-knowledge proof mechanisms, including approximately 1.1 million BTC in Satoshi wallets and about 5 million long-dormant BTC, with the community later deciding whether to move, destroy, or redistribute the related assets.
