I just discovered something interesting about what Elon Musk really owns in the crypto world. Like, we all know he's obsessed with Dogecoin, but the full story is a bit more complex than it seems.
So, let's start with the facts: Musk owns Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin confirmed. With BTC now at 77.77K and a market dominance of 57%, it makes sense that it's the flagship of his crypto portfolio. Tesla had invested 1.5 billion dollars in Bitcoin in 2021, although they sold most of it later. But Musk personally still holds BTC.
For Ethereum, it's more subtle. He confirmed it at the "The ₿ Word" conference in 2021, and with ETH at 2.14K now and the dominance of smart contracts in DeFi, I understand why he considers it important. However, Dogecoin is the one he truly loves; he calls it "the people's cryptocurrency." At 0.11 per DOGE, the community is still active, and he continues to support it.
Here's where it gets interesting: rumors about Shiba Inu and Floki Inu. He denies owning SHIB, but his tweets about dog-themed coins have always shaken the markets. Floki is literally the name of his Shiba Inu dog, yet he says he doesn't own it. Hmm, with this guy and crypto, never say never. The crazy thing is how much his support influences price movements, regardless of what he officially says. What do you think—do you really believe he doesn't touch other coins?
