You're new to crypto or stock trading, and surely your friends have told you "what is a bullish market" or "bearish" but you don't understand clearly? I was the same at first 😅

Actually, this story is quite interesting. Bullish and bearish are not random words; they originate from the actions of two animals. When a bull attacks, it raises its horns from below, symbolizing an upward price trend. Conversely, when a bear attacks, it strikes downward from above, so bullish means a price increase, and bearish means the opposite — prices will decrease.

After researching, I found that these terms started in the 18th-century financial markets. Traders needed a quick way to describe market trends, so they used these animal comparisons. They are easy to remember, easy to understand, and later spread from Europe to the whole world.

It can be said that what bullish means is simply the expectation that prices will rise, while bearish is the expectation that prices will fall. These words have now become the standard language in the trader and crypto communities; no one uses "increase" or "decrease" anymore.
