CryptoWorld News reports that Iran’s ambassador to France, Mohammad Amin-Nejad, said in a media interview that although the Supreme Leader, Mujtaba al-Husayni Khamenei, had previously been injured, the country’s system is still operating normally, and any matters that, under the Iranian constitution, fall within the Supreme Leader’s responsibilities will be decided by him. He noted that the Supreme Leader is not the direct interlocutor in negotiations or diplomatic contacts, and that the country’s negotiations are handled by the government. In addition, he emphasized that Iran has a Supreme National Security Council, that past nuclear negotiations involved successive governments and presidents, and that decisions are made by the Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council.
