Abstract generation in progress
AIMPACT News, May 21 (UTC+8), according to Beating Monitoring, CapCut announced today a partnership with Google Gemini, integrating its native video and image editing tools into the Gemini app. Users can directly use natural language commands within the Gemini chat interface to invoke CapCut for video clip trimming, aspect ratio adjustments, and special effects addition, all without leaving the current chat window. This move follows Google's release of the Gemini Spark personal AI strategy at I/O 2026. Google did not choose to build a professional effects library from scratch within the general AI assistant but instead let Gemini act as the brain to directly coordinate external mature toolchains. Currently, CapCut's official social platforms have confirmed that this feature will be launched soon, but Google has not announced an exact rollout schedule. (Source: BlockBeats)

This feature is a blessing for mobile editors, but professional users might still find it lacking.

Listening to natural language editing feels satisfying, but how complex of commands can it actually recognize?

Spark's strategy is basically to be an AI router, with each company's tools functioning as plugins.

From now on, when editing videos, just type: "Help me add a cyberpunk filter, and make the transitions cool."
