Map Protocol/Butter Network cross-chain bridge attacked on Ethereum and BSC, loss of approximately $110k
According to Map Protocol/Butter Network, cross-chain bridges were attacked on Ethereum and BSC.
The attacker minted about 100 trillion MAPO tokens to a newly created EOA, approximately 4.8 million times the supply, and profited about 52.2 ETH.
MAP Protocol has paused the MAPO-ERC20 and mainnet bridge connections; do not trade on Uniswap, as the liquidity pool is at risk.
Butter Network stated that ButterSwap has been paused, and pending transactions will be processed after recovery; user funds are not at risk.
