It's now 2026. When it comes to investments that don't require you to watch all day, robo-advisors truly deserve attention. Because this system makes investing much more accessible to the general public, especially for those who lack time to study information or don't know where to start.

A robo-advisor is a system that uses AI and financial technology to provide automated investment advice. It collects data about your income, investment goals, and risk tolerance, then analyzes it with algorithms to create a portfolio suited to your situation. The first to use robo-advisors was Betterment in the United States in 2007, aiming to automatically rebalance assets within funds.

Its operation is quite straightforward. First, the system gathers your financial information. Then, it uses AI technology to analyze and build an appropriate investment profile. The system recommends investments across various asset types such as ETFs or mutual funds, and it manages and adjusts the portfolio automatically based on market changes.

The clear advantage is significantly lower fees compared to human advisors. General advisors often charge about 1-2% of the portfolio value, but some robo-advisors only charge 0.25-0.5%. Additionally, there are no commissions on trades. The downside is that you can't have face-to-face consultations, and sometimes it may not fully meet individual needs.

When talking about the best robo-advisors, many options are interesting. Wealthfront charges 0.25% with a minimum of $500. M1 Finance has no fees and starts at $100. Betterment charges no fees and begins at just $10. SoFi Automated and Acorns are also fee-free with no minimums. Merrill Guided Investing charges 0.45% but offers good planning tools. E*Trade is suitable for beginners, and Titan offers a variety of portfolio options.

In Thailand, robo-advisors are also becoming more widespread. Options include INNOVESTX from SCBS, starting at 2,000 baht per month; ODINI, which has no additional fees; FINNOMINA, also with no extra fees and starting at 5,000 baht; and WEALTH PLUS from KSecurities, with no extra fees but rebalancing every six months.

In fact, robo-advisors are suitable for everyone who wants to invest, whether beginners or experienced investors without time. They make investing easier and emotion-free. The system analyzes the market and adjusts the portfolio systematically. Moreover, it allows investing in a variety of assets to diversify risk. If you're considering choosing a robo-advisor, look for one that matches your goals and budget, as each has its strengths and fee structures.
