Last night, I checked my wallet authorization records and saw a bunch of “infinite limits”—and I immediately felt sober… Put simply, it’s basically the same as not locking the door. You’re already asleep, yet unfamiliar contracts can just waltz in and haul stuff around. Especially recently, with all kinds of new L1/L2 projects pushing incentives to grow TVL, I got tempted too and clicked on a few. Then the older users complained that “wa-tǐ, maì”—and honestly, there’s a real reason for it. Once the project hype is over, the contract permissions are still hanging there.
I’m not pretending. I also often get hit by FOMO. After I click, I only remember to take that one extra step to revoke the authorization. It always feels like a hassle, but it really has to be done—otherwise you can’t sleep soundly. Anyway, I’ve gotten into the habit now: after finishing an interaction, I just revokе immediately, like brushing my teeth… I say I won’t chase pumps, but my hands still shake. Still, leaving permissions sitting there makes the shaking even worse.
