Bitcoin and Ethereum prices edge up

The market leader Bitcoin (BTC) saw a slight increase of 1.5% in market capitalization over 7 days, trading at $29,408 on Saturday.

According to CoinShares' latest weekly report, last week was a strong sign that institutional investors stopped shorting the main currency for the first time in fourteen weeks.

Meanwhile, the second-largest token by market cap, Ethereum (ETH), appears to be in sync with the top-tier tokens, rising 1.3% over the weekend to $1,839.

Prices of the top thirty cryptocurrencies did not show significant declines; however, three altcoins saw gains: Solana (SOL) up 8.5%, Toncoin (TON) up 10.1%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) up 17.8%.
