The decline of middle-aged men doesn’t begin with poverty—it begins with “whatever.”

Whatever, I won’t make a fuss anymore.
Whatever, just let it be like this.
Whatever, it’s okay if the body gets a bit worse.
Slowly, people let themselves go.
They no longer want to win, no longer want to change, and their spirit can’t keep up as their body grows weaker.
Actually, when men reach middle age, the biggest fear isn’t their age.
It’s having no goals—and no strength.
Because without strength, it’s hard to carry life;
without direction, it’s also hard to stay self-disciplined long term.
So a man can hit a low point, can fail, and can pause for a while.
But you can’t let yourself stay in that slow, sinking state.
Start training again. Start doing things again. Pull yourself back.
No matter when you start, it’s never too late.
