Last night before bed, I took out my hardware wallet and fiddled with it again. To be honest, it’s quite suitable for those who just want to keep things offline and cool: the assets aren’t too small or too large, but it would hurt if I lost it. Going a bit further, I now prefer multi-signature setups, at least to prevent a single private key from deciding life or death, especially since you love clicking around on-chain (I get it, being mischievous). Social recovery sounds appealing, but you need to first think carefully about whether your “friends/devices/email” are reliable—don’t end up with a social recovery failure that can’t be fixed. Recently, seeing those blockchain games with inflation + studio bots + spiraling coin prices crashing, I increasingly feel that securing your life first is more important than chasing new trends… I’ll go confirm the second signer again now.
