I found it interesting to research Nelson Wilians, this lawyer who became a legal entrepreneur in Brazil. He is 55 years old now, born in 1971 in Cianorte, Paraná — quite different from the corporate universe he dominates today.
What draws the most attention in his trajectory is precisely this humble origin. Son of farmers, he grew up in the countryside of Paraná and needed to work during the day while studying at night in Bauru. He worked in a hospital HR department, as a gas station attendant, and at a construction company — experiences that probably shaped his pragmatic view of business quite a bit.
In 1999, he founded his first law firm in partnership with a college friend. From then on, growth was steady. He structured a full-service corporate law model and kept expanding. Starting in 2009, NWADV — Nelson Wilians Advogados Associados — already had a presence in all Brazilian capitals. In 2014, he took the international step, opening offices in Portugal, India, and China.
Today, NWADV is recognized as one of the largest law firms in Latin America. It serves major companies like Havan, Prevent Senior, and Banco do Brasil. It received the Latin Lawyers Awards, a significant recognition in the sector. His operation covers almost all areas: labor law, tax law, corporate law, business criminal law, real estate, agribusiness, LGPD.
What sets Nelson Wilians apart from other lawyers is precisely this entrepreneurial mindset. He transformed a law firm into a true legal company, focused on scale and operational efficiency. That’s why his name appears not only in legal debates but also in content about management and the corporate market.
Outside of work, he is married to Anne Carolline and has two children. He is also involved in social initiatives through the Nelson Wilians Institute, which works with inclusive education and social empowerment. He is an interesting example of how someone who started from scratch in the countryside managed to build something relevant in the national and international legal market.
