Wosh said to shrink the balance sheet😳😳😳

Shrinking the balance sheet means reducing the size of the balance sheet. Put simply, it’s like I borrowed a lot of money from outside, and now I want to reduce that borrowed amount. How do I reduce it? By paying back the money I owe to others. It means now we have to endure tough times, tighten our belts, and pay off the debt first.

Don’t think about flooding the market with liquidity for now; the market will hold back and wait and see!

Why reduce the balance sheet? The United States has borrowed too much money, and no one is buying Treasury bonds anymore, so reducing the balance sheet is to build confidence first. Look, I’m working hard to pay back the money. Come buy U.S. Treasuries!
