You know, I had to choose a digital bank to invest last year, and it was a mess trying to find a decent option. I tested several, and I think it's worth sharing what I learned because it really changed the way I invest.

The thing is, nowadays having the best digital bank in 2026 has become essential. Before, everything was complicated, you had to go to the branch, wait in line, show documents... now it's all through the app itself. But not all digital banks offer the same things, you know?

I started with Nubank because everyone uses it, and it’s really practical. Integrated app, low fees (R$0.75 on some products), works well for those just starting out. Then I migrated to C6 Bank because I wanted more variety. Their home broker is very intuitive, with no brokerage charges.

For those who want something more robust, BTG Pactual Digital is another story — but then you really need to have money, because they require a high minimum amount. XP Investimentos is also good if you want more advanced tools, like COEs and derivatives.

Now, if you're starting from scratch, I recommend Banco Inter or Next. Banco Inter has this vibe of everything in one place — checking account, investments, card. Next is simpler, ideal for those still learning.

What really made a difference for me was stopping just looking at fees and thinking about what I really need to invest in. Fixed income? Stocks? International? Each digital bank has its strengths. MiTrade, for example, is more for those interested in forex and commodities, more sophisticated stuff.

My advice: don’t fall into the trap of ‘the absolute best digital bank.’ It depends on your profile. Want simplicity? Nubank. Want variety? C6 Bank. Want sophistication? XP or BTG. The important thing is to start because waiting for the perfect platform is just wasting investment time.
