The crypto space has been getting hammered by exploits lately. In just 4 days, three major hacks have already drained tens of millions from the market🚨.
On May 15, THORChain was exploited, with reported losses exceeding $10M. Then on May 18, the Verus-Ethereum Bridge linked to VerusCoin was hacked for roughly $11.5M.
And now another attack just hit , this time targeting Echo Protocol on Monad. According to dcfgod, the attacker managed to mint 1,000 eBTC worth around $76.64M. The hacker then deposited 45 eBTC into Curvance, borrowed 11.3 WBTC worth roughly $867K, bridged it over to Ethereum, swapped it into 385 ETH, and finally sent the ETH into Tornado Cash to launder the funds.
What’s even more concerning is that the attacker still reportedly holds 955 eBTC, currently valued around $73.2M, meaning the situation may not be over yet.

Stay safe out there. The past few days have been a brutal reminder that smart contract and bridge risks are still very real.
