I've recently been bombarded by group messages and KOL tweets to the point of a headache; my phone vibrates and it feels like there's another "major positive development" on the chain. And what happened? Nine out of ten are emotional relay, the last one is "Brothers, charge." Honestly, no one should blame others for impulsively buying: no matter how loud the group shouts or how well-known the celebrity acts, it can't replace you pressing confirm.
So I set a rule for myself: when I see meme hotspots or attention shifts happening en masse, I first take my hand off the buy button, go look on the chain to see who’s selling and who’s taking over, and if I’m unsure, I just pretend I didn’t see. Veteran players advising newcomers not to take the last hit sounds annoying, but when you actually take that hit, it’s even more annoying. Anyway, I’d rather miss out than be the fool in the group saying, “Why did I believe again?”
