Techub News reports that, according to NewsBTC, Intesa Sanpaolo, the largest banking group in Italy, held Grayscale XRP Trust shares worth approximately $18 million as of the end of March 2026. During the same period, the bank’s exposure to cryptocurrency assets increased from about $100 million to nearly $235 million. The bank gained this exposure through regulated financial instruments; over the same period, it also increased its holdings in Bitcoin and Ethereum-related investments, while reducing its Solana positions. This move is seen as a typical example of traditional financial institutions allocating to cryptocurrency assets via compliant channels.
