ME News Report, May 14 (UTC+8), according to foreign media, Omani officials, and a maritime data company, a ship flying the Indian flag sank this week in the Strait of Hormuz after being attacked near the Omani coast. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated that all crew members on board have been rescued by Omani authorities, but did not specify the identity of the attackers. Maritime data company Windward said the ship likely sank after a drone attack. Two Omani officials familiar with the matter said that at the time of the incident, the ship was transporting goats.
