Co-founder of the crypto investment platform Forsage extradited from Thailand to the United States, pleads not guilty to conspiracy charges related to telecom fraud
BlockBeats News message. On May 18, the U.S. Department of Justice said that Olena Oblamska, a Ukrainian national accused of participating in the operation of the crypto investment platform Forsage, was extradited from Thailand to the United States last week and appeared in federal court in Oregon, where she pleaded not guilty to charges of “conspiracy to commit wire fraud.”
Prosecutors said that Forsage operated under the guise of an “investment project” based on “smart contracts” on the Ethereum blockchain, but in reality it constituted a Ponzi scheme and a pyramid scheme, involving approximately $340 million. At present, Olena Oblamska has been detained pending trial. A jury trial is expected to begin on July 14, 2026; if convicted, she could face up to 20 years of federal imprisonment.
