Are you seeing how the Brazilian financial market is changing in 2026? People are starting to invest much more now, and it's no coincidence. With the Selic gradually falling to around 12-12.5% by the end of the year, risk appetite is returning. Just in January, over R$26 billion in foreign capital entered B3 — that surpassed the entire flow of 2025 combined!
The cool thing is that now there are brokerages for beginners everywhere. The people just starting out have many more options than they did a few years ago. There are everything from traditional banks (like BB, Santander) to the most modern fintechs. Each with its own approach: some focus on zero fees, others on a variety of products, and some on a simpler interface.
I was looking at the main ones and found it interesting how the profile of the Brazilian investor has changed. Millions of people started investing for the first time in recent years, thanks to digitalization. It used to be complicated; now anyone can open an account at a beginner-friendly brokerage on their phone in 5 minutes.
The ones that stand out most for beginners are those offering zero brokerage on stocks (like Toro and Clear), those with super intuitive interfaces (like Nu Invest), and those with a huge catalog (like XP). There are also more conservative options for those who prefer Treasury Direct and fixed income.
The Ibovespa is projected to reach between 180,000 and 240,000 points in the coming years, depending on how the economy behaves. But honestly, for those just starting out, the most important thing is to choose a beginner brokerage with a good reputation, competitive costs, and decent educational tools. You don’t need to look for the perfect one — the main ones are reliable and secure.
Are you already investing? Which brokerage are you using?
