Have you felt it? Many married people around you experience something strange: men earn money to support the family, and women take care of the household, but women feel like they are at a disadvantage. When roles are reversed and women earn the money and support the family, men take care of the household, women still feel like they are at a disadvantage. When women go to work, they again feel like they are at a disadvantage. Before marriage, men owed her; after marriage, the man’s family owed her the whole family; after divorce, the whole world owes her. Aside from marrying the wrong person, there are no other reasons. But if we look deeper, it’s not really women’s fault; it’s the system that has pulled women from an extreme of foot-binding times into another extreme where men are treated as tools. Because only with this design is the stability of power most favored.
