So, I was browsing the internet looking for free AI tools, and man, the number of free AI sites out there now is crazy. Like, a few years ago, that was something only big companies did, you know? Now anyone can access them. I started testing several and thought it was cool to share what I found.
First, ChatGPT remains the favorite. The free version in 2026 is already using GPT-5 models, but with limits — about 10 messages every 5 hours. After hitting the cap, it switches to a smaller, faster model. Still, you can do a lot: write texts, generate basic images, code, understand data. If you pay $20/month, it becomes super powerful.
Now, Google Gemini is interesting because it’s integrated with everything Google. It uses real-time web data, which is very useful for research. Works with Gmail, Drive, Docs — all together. The paid version costs around R$ 79/month and offers more advanced models.
There’s also DeepSeek, which gained fame for being efficient and fast without costing much. Good for math, programming, and analysis. The cool thing is that the web version is practically unlimited.
For video creators, Lumen5 is awesome. Converts text into automatic videos, with scene suggestions, music, everything. Has a limit of 5 videos per month on the free plan, but it’s enough to play around. Free AI sites for video like this make a big difference for content creators.
SciSpace is great if you study or do research. Explains complex articles, simplifies technical language, helps with papers. Unlimited on the free version.
For audio and video editing, Descript is handy — edits via text, removes noise, transcribes. Has a limit on the free version, but it works.
ChatPDF is genius: upload a PDF and chat with it. Ask anything about the content. No limit on the free version.
This Person Doesn’t Exist generates photos of people who don’t exist — no copyright issues, perfect for mockups or design testing. Totally free, no paid plan.
Midjourney for images is insane, but it now requires money — no more official free version. Starts at $10/month. NightCafe is a more affordable alternative, with free daily credits to generate art.
If I had to sum up: combine ChatGPT + Gemini + DeepSeek and you cover text. For images, ChatGPT and NightCafe do the job. Video? Lumen5 and Descript. With these free sites, you can do a lot without spending a dime. Quality has improved a lot. It used to be only big companies could do this, now anyone can create more, better, and faster without investing a cent. Anyone else testing these tools?
