Recently, I was looking for apps to trade for free or with very little money, and I was surprised to discover that you don't need thousands to get started. I found several options that actually work well.

The one I liked the most was MiTrade because you can start with just $20, which is practically nothing. Its interface is super clean, without unnecessary clutter, and it has integrated TradingView charts. Plus, they give you $50,000 virtual dollars to practice risk-free for 3 months. Perfect if you're just starting out in trading.

Then there's AvaTrade, which is more for those who already have experience. Founded in 2006, it offers a bunch of different platforms (MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, its own mobile app) and access to over 1,200 assets. The minimum deposit is $100. If you want more leverage and professional options, this is your trading app.

Plus500 is interesting if you're looking for variety: they have over 2,800 different CFDs, from stocks to cryptocurrencies. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is quite solid. You also need a minimum of $100, but the technology they offer is truly powerful.

XM caught my attention because the minimum deposit is only $5, even less than MiTrade. It has very high leverage (up to 1000x) and more than 1,400 instruments. But honestly, it's for traders who already know what they're doing with MetaTrader.

And well, eToro is the one everyone knows for copy trading. Basically, you automatically copy what more experienced traders do. Minimum deposit of $50, and the idea is to learn by watching how the best operate.

What surprised me is that all these trading apps have free demo versions. So before putting in your real money, you can practice risk-free. The key is that none of them charge commissions to trade, only spreads. If you're a beginner, I would say MiTrade or eToro are your best options. If you already have experience, AvaTrade or XM will give you more advanced tools.
