I found out that free cryptocurrency mining is more common than I thought, and I decided to test a few. People always say that mining Bitcoin is too expensive, but there are free options worth exploring, especially if you're just starting out.
I tested several and found it interesting: Awesome Miner (Windows/Linux), BetterHash (auto-select coins), StormGain (Bitcoin mining directly on your phone), CryptoTab (mine while browsing), Kryptex (promises up to R$520/month on a simple PC), ECOS (has a free period), PEGAPool (mines ETH just through the app), MinerGate (works on multiple systems). There's also EarnCrypto if you prefer completing simple tasks instead of just leaving it running.
The point is: free cryptocurrency mining won't make you rich, but you can earn some extra cash. Bitcoin is now at $78.24k (-1.15% in the last 24 hours), ETH at $2.18k (-2.00%), so every satoshi counts. The difference with paid mining is clear: free = no energy/hardware costs, but also no big returns. Paid = more profitable, but you need to invest heavily.
One important thing: beware of scams. Always check the platform's credibility, history, and security measures. Don't fall for promises of free Bitcoin that ask for your personal data.
If you're thinking about mining for free, the reality is that it works better in the medium/long term. It's not for quick money, but to gradually add to your portfolio. Honestly, it's more worthwhile than letting your money sit idle.
