BREAKING: Jerome Powell Steps Down as Fed Chair

After 8 years, Jerome Powell has officially ended his term as Federal Reserve Chair. Kevin Warsh, confirmed by the Senate 54-45, takes over today.
What Powell Will Be Remembered For:
✅ Best move: The 2020 emergency rate cuts to near zero. It helped end the shortest US recession in history.
❌ Worst move: Calling inflation "transitory" in 2021. The slow response forced aggressive hikes and prices stayed high for years.
His legacy: Defending Fed independence against intense political pressure, including a criminal probe that was later dropped.
Why it matters for crypto:
Powell stays on as a Fed governor and still holds an FOMC vote until 2028. Warsh is seen as leaning dovish and open to rate cuts, but he is just 1 of 12 votes. He cannot cut rates alone.
A more dovish Fed tone is risk-on for $BTC liquidity, but do not expect instant cuts. Watch the data, not the headlines.
