Looking at Web3 and potential Web 3.0 coins, I see this as a topic that many traders are interested in but haven't fully understood. Actually, Web3 is not a new concept — since 2014, Gavin Wood (founder of Polkadot) has been talking about a decentralized online ecosystem based on blockchain. But only now has it really exploded.
Quick comparison: Web 1.0 only allows reading, Web 2.0 allows reading and writing, while Web3 gives you ownership of your data. That’s the biggest difference. Blockchain technology, AI, decentralization — all combined to create a new platform. Practical applications include DeFi, NFT games, metaverse, DAOs, and decentralized social networks.
But to invest, you need to understand the potential Web 3.0 coins well. I’ve looked at the current market, recent price updates:
BTC remains king — $78.09K, market cap $1.56T. ETH ranks second with $2.18K, market cap $263B. These two are the foundation of everything.
Solana (SOL) at $86.37 is quite strong, capable of competing with Ethereum in transaction speed and fees. Polygon (MATIC) at $0.18 is a layer 2 solution for Ethereum, quite useful. BNB at $653.80 still holds a strong position.
Chainlink (LINK) at $9.67 is the top oracle, connecting blockchain with real-world data. Polkadot (DOT) at $1.26 focuses on interoperability between blockchains. Filecoin (FIL) at $0.97 is a decentralized storage network, quite interesting.
CyberConnect (CYBER) at $0.50 is a decentralized social network, a project with good backing. Cardano (ADA) is also among the potential Web 3.0 coins, using PoS, with low gas fees.
The great thing about Web3 is transparency, no gatekeepers, fast transaction speeds, and elimination of intermediaries. But there are also downsides — it requires good device configuration, can be hard for newcomers to understand, and regulatory management is still uncertain.
In reality, Web3 is still developing and not yet complete. But for those wanting to seize opportunities, understanding potential Web 3.0 coins is the first step. Trading on Gate or other exchanges, you can profit whether the market goes up or down if you know how to manage risks. But remember, the crypto market is very volatile, so be careful.
