Recently, I was looking for places to trade without having to spend a lot of money, and honestly, there are more options than I thought. I found several trading apps that let you start with quite accessible amounts.
The first thing that surprised me is that you no longer need to be a millionaire to invest. There are platforms with minimum deposits of $5 to $20, so anyone can try. Mitrade seemed the most user-friendly if you're just starting out: clean interface, not too complicated, and it allows you to trade stocks, crypto, gold, all from a single account. It also integrates TradingView charts, which is pretty good. The minimum deposit is only $20 USD, and you get $50,000 in demo to practice.
If you already have some experience and want more options, AvaTrade and Plus500 are quite comprehensive. AvaTrade gives you access to MetaTrader 4 and 5, and Plus500 has an impressive number of assets (more than 2,800). XM is interesting if you're looking for high leverage, though that comes with its risks. And if copying the experts is your thing, eToro has that copy trading feature that works well for learning.
All these trading apps have zero commissions on trades, so the cost is in the spreads. The important thing is to know what type of trader you are: beginner? Looking for experience? Want to automate? Each has its strengths. I’d say that before putting in real money, try the demo accounts that all of them offer. And of course, all of this carries risk, so you need to be careful and educate yourself first. Has anyone else tried these trading apps?
