Techub News reports that, according to U.Today, the payment protocol Ripple completed the largest RLUSD burn on the Ethereum chain this month in May, with a single-day burn of over 32 million tokens. This burn is the fourth such transaction in May, with a total of approximately 62 million RLUSD burned this month, showing a slowdown in frequency compared to previous months. Ripple burns tokens by transferring them to an empty address to regulate the circulating supply in the market. RLUSD is a USD stablecoin issued by Ripple, supporting both Ethereum and XRP Ledger dual chains. Currently, this stablecoin is being adopted by more large enterprises for cross-border payment scenarios. Ripple maintains the stablecoin’s value through a periodic burn mechanism to control supply.
