I don’t want to look back and get stuck on the past, and I will never blame or criticize the version of myself from before. There simply aren’t any pointless complaints in this world. I calmly accept responsibility for the limits of my own understanding, and I quietly take in every regret and hardship.
There’s no need to sink into self-blame.
If life were to start over, with the experience accumulated at the time, the perspective, the scope, and my understanding of human nature—I would still take the same wrong turns and encounter the same hardships.
Every road I’ve walked, the people I’ve met, and the regrets I’ve left behind are all required lessons bestowed by fate. They are all the trials you must pass on the path of growth. As for right and wrong in worldly matters, life is never decided by what the heart imagines. Life itself has no naturally correct choices.
What people call “correct” is never something you pick—it’s something you make complete through persistence and effort. Be certain about the decisions you make right now, stick to the path beneath your feet, settle your mind and cultivate the present. Keep moving forward without looking back, and eventually you will meet flourishing blooms along the road you chose.
