Just spotted three altcoins to watch that are showing some interesting technical moves heading into mid-May. RAVE, DOT, and TRUMP each have pivotal levels that could signal what's next for these tokens.
Let me start with RAVE - this one's had quite the ride. After that explosive 3500% run from recent lows, it's now sitting at $0.86, down 11% in the last 24 hours. The rally was structured around Fibonacci extensions, with the 2.618 level near $8.99 acting as a target back then. But here's the thing - there were some sketchy wallet movements before the pump kicked off, with major deposits hitting a certain exchange right before things took off. The low circulating supply of around 230 million tokens made it vulnerable to concentrated buying pressure. If it breaks below the $5.45 support from that rally, we could see a full reversal down to $2.12.
Polkadot's been hit harder. Trading at $1.27 now, it's down nearly 6% in 24 hours after that Hyperbridge gateway exploit where someone managed to mint a billion bridged DOT tokens on Ethereum. The attacker pulled off a forged cross-chain message trick and dumped the full supply in one go, netting around 108.2 ETH. The native DOT chain wasn't compromised, just the wrapped version on Ethereum, but that didn't stop major exchanges from suspending DOT deposits and withdrawals as a precaution. The token's now trading close to its all-time low of $1.15. It needs to hold above $1.27 to stabilize, otherwise we could see it test even lower levels.
Then there's TRUMP, sitting at $2.15 after a 7.9% drop in 24 hours. It's testing support near $2.78 that could form a double bottom. The Mar-a-Lago event on April 25 was supposed to be a catalyst, but the snapshot for holder qualification already happened, so that angle's less relevant now. If the support holds, a breakout above $3.08 could push toward $3.34 - that's about a 19% move from here. But if $2.78 breaks, we're looking at the all-time low of $1.32 as the next floor.
These are definitely altcoins to watch right now - the technicals are setting up some key decision points for all three.
