Sometimes I wonder how someone at 31 years old can build a fortune of over 100 billion and still seem more down-to-earth than most ordinary people. Vitalik Buterin is exactly one of those – and his story is simply fascinating.

The founder of Ethereum was a real genius even as a child. At 4 years old, he started programming, and by 7, he could recite Pi from memory. At 19, he wrote his white paper and left school to pursue his vision. That’s not just rebellious but also quite impressive. Vitalik Buterin has shaped the entire industry with this.

But here’s where it gets interesting: despite his massive wealth, he lives extremely simply. He resides in a normal apartment complex in Singapore, takes the subway in flip-flops, sits in cafes weekly, and codes. His clothes are from friends. This isn’t frugality out of necessity but a conscious choice – true big shots don’t define themselves through material things.

His love life is just as mysterious as his code. Rumor has it he has a Chinese girlfriend from the blockchain world. They supposedly meet secretly for hotpot, and when he liked a "Happy Breakup" song, the internet went into speculation. Even Sun Yuchen made jokes about it. But honestly? This mix of tech genius and normal person is exactly what makes him so likable.

What impresses me most: when it comes to donations, he’s as generous as hardly anyone else. 1.2 billion dollars for epidemic and malaria research – that says more about his character than any interview. His father was an IT expert and always supported him in pursuing his dreams. Today, his family is harmonious, and his life is intentionally simple.

Vitalik Buterin shows that true innovation doesn’t come from luxury but from passion. His wealth is impressive, but his attitude is even more so. That’s the definition of a real visionary – someone who changes the world and remains humble.
