THORChain was hacked today, all transactions suspended. On-chain investigator ZachXBT confirmed: the attacker simultaneously drained about $10.7 million across BTC/ETH/BSC/Base chains. The attacker’s wallet currently holds approximately 3,443 ETH + 36.85 BTC + 96.6 BNB.

RUNE is now priced at $0.51, down from $0.58 in 24 hours (-12.3%), with a 24-hour trading volume of $48.2 million. No official statement has been issued so far, and the attack vector has not been disclosed.
This is the fourth major security incident for THORChain in four years:
· July 2021: ETH router vulnerability ≈ $4.9 million
· 2021: ChaosNet Bifrost bug ≈ 4,000 ETH
· 2025: ≈ $1.2 million
· Today: ≈ $10.7 million
Four hacks, four times “fixed and made more secure,” and then the next.
THORChain’s core narrative is “trustless cross-chain.” But four hacks in four years show one thing: trustlessness is a design philosophy, not a security guarantee. What you trust is not the protocol, but that hackers haven’t found the next entry point.
Buying $RUNE to stake on DeFi cross-chain infrastructure relies not on better code, but on shorter memories. #Gate广场五月交易分享 $RUNE
