LlamaIndex open-source document parsing tool LiteParse officially joins its ecosystem

ME News Report, April 16 (UTC+8), the LlamaIndex team announced that its open-source document parsing tool LiteParse has exceeded 4.3K stars on GitHub within a few weeks and officially joined the LlamaIndex ecosystem today. The tool is designed for fast local parsing of various documents, supporting over 50 formats, capable of processing 500 pages in about 2 seconds, without relying on cloud services, LLM tokens, or usage restrictions. Currently, LiteParse has been applied in Claude Code, agents within Cursor, and production pipelines. As part of the LlamaCloud product line, it targets multiple user roles such as engineering R&D, administrative operations, and financial analysis, covering industries including insurance, finance, manufacturing, and healthcare/pharmaceuticals.
