Techub News reports that, according to WIRED, the Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Michael Selig, stated that the agency is using AI tools to analyze trading patterns, tracking American traders accessing Polymarket via VPN, and will take enforcement actions against suspicious insider trading. Selig said that the CFTC is expanding its staff and strengthening automated regulation, using blockchain tracking tools like Chainalysis and detection software such as Nasdaq Smarts. Polymarket has recently partnered with Chainalysis and Palantir to enhance compliance; its competitor Kalshi also announced that it has suspended and penalized multiple customers suspected of insider trading.
