#BTC Late night surprise! BTC takes you back to the 80k era, but this time it might be different
Wolf Analysis | 2026.05.15
BTC $81,040 /
ETH $2,270 /
SOL $92.16 /
BNB $678.88
【Market Description】
In the past 24 hours, BTC completed a textbook-style surge—rising from a low of $78,922 to a high of $82,048, with a maximum increase of +2.12%, currently pulling back to around $81,100 for consolidation. The 4-hour structure shows: between 02:00-10:00 UTC, two 4-hour K-line trading volumes surged, with nearly 12,000 BTC traded (about $970 million), indicating a typical main force-driven market. ETH followed the upward trend but with weaker momentum (+0.99%), SOL and BNB had similar gains, overall showing a BTC-led rally.
【Today’s Core Drivers】
1. BTC spot ETF has seen net inflows for several consecutive days, institutional buying supports the price bottom
2. After breaking the psychological threshold of $80,000 on the 4-hour level, technical short positions were forced to close (Short Squeeze)
3. The US dollar index has recently weakened, macro liquidity expectations marginally improved
Wolf Analysis:
BTC’s rebound signals are clear—$82,000 is an important short-term resistance. If it can stay above $80,500 steadily, the rebound structure remains intact. But note: this rise was concentrated in the early UTC hours, so Asian market driving force is questionable; additionally, volume has quickly shrunk to $130 million in the latest 4-hour, indicating short-term upward willingness is waning. ETH’s weaker correlation is also a hidden risk. My judgment: cautious bullish bias, with $82,000-$82,500 as an important observation zone. A breakout could target $85,000; if it falls below $80,500, it may revert to weakness. Those with heavy positions can consider taking partial profits here.
Core focus: Can $81,500 be reclaimed? Will volume pick up again?
