SDNY Seeks $1.07M Forfeiture From Ex-Celsius Executive Ahead of Sentencing
SDNY asked a federal judge to impose a $1.07 million forfeiture on former Celsius chief revenue officer Roni Cohen-Pavon ahead of his sentencing. Cohen-Pavon pleaded guilty in September 2023 to fraud and conspiracy tied to manipulation of Celsius’s CEL token, and he is scheduled to appear for sentencing on Thursday. Prosecutors did not recommend a specific sentence and asked the court to consider a reduction for substantial assistance.
