British MP Farage faces parliamentary investigation for failing to declare £5 million in Tether investor gifts
ME News Report, May 14 (UTC+8), UK Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage is being formally investigated by the UK Parliamentary Standards Commissioner for failing to declare a £5 million gift from Tether investor Christopher Harbin. Harbin is a 12% shareholder in Tether and the party’s largest donor, having previously set a UK personal political donation record with a single donation of £9 million. Farage stated that the money was used for his personal security, and that the gift occurred before he announced his candidacy, so he was not obligated to declare it.
