$2260 worth of ETH—are you brave enough to buy the dip?
ETF outflows of $150 million in a single day and $244 million over 7 days, PPI data surging and effectively killing any hopes of rate cuts, 10-year-old pre-mined addresses suddenly waking up and transferring to exchanges—yet in the very same week, institutions like Jane Street went on a frenzy selling BTC to buy ETH, exchanges pulled $3 million ETH out of circulation, and Nuva moved 19 billion RWA assets on-chain.
First, look at the surface: bearish news everywhere, but the price hasn’t crashed.
Over the past 7 days, ETF outflows totaled $244 million. An upside PPI reading erased the probability of rate cuts, and whale addresses revived. It sounds like doomsday, right? But ETH bounced from 2200 to 2259, and the lower edge of the range was held stubbornly. The candlestick chart tells you: a symmetrical triangle is converging toward the end; a MACD golden cross is accompanied by expanding volume; RSI at 50–60 is neutral. That’s a prelude to a big move—don’t get stuck selling before dawn.
First thing: the Glamsterdam upgrade has already gone live, and gas fees are set to drop by 78.6%.
Execution capacity is up 3x, L2 fees drop again, and the mainnet congestion problem is directly solved.
From now on, when you transfer on ETH, the fees will be about the same as Solana’s, but the security is 100 times that of Solana. Developer inflow, user inflow, and capital inflow—triple revival.
Second thing: institutions are doing an “epic rebalancing.”
Big institutions like Jane Street are clearly reducing their BTC ETF holdings while increasing their ETH holdings.
Why? Because the BTC ETF narrative has already been fully priced in, while ETH’s RWA tokenization, staking yields, and expectations for upgrades are only just beginning. BlackRock leads the ETH ETF; JPMorgan files on-chain money market fund products; Nuva’s 19 billion assets are moving on-chain.
Third thing: exchanges are withdrawing 3 million ETH.
Within a month, 3 million ETH were pulled out of exchanges, roughly $6.7 billion. Market sell orders are decreasing, while buy orders are increasing—supply and demand are starting to flip.
On one side:
- Glamsterdam upgrade rolled out; gas fees down 78%
- Institutions shifting from BTC to ETH, led by Jane Street
- Exchanges withdraw 3 million coins, and supply tightens sharply
- Nuva and others bring 19 billion RWA on-chain—just before the ecosystem explodes
- Symmetrical triangle converging, with a higher probability of an upside breakout
On the other side:
- ETF outflows of $244 million in one week, sentiment under pressure
- PPI soaring; no rate cuts this year; macro outlook bearish
- 10-year-old pre-mined addresses reviving; an overhang of selling pressure
- Price still below the EMA; bearish momentum hasn’t fully faded
The key zone is 2230–2250—the final line of defense for both bulls and bears.
Resistance above: 2370–2400 (triangle upper band + moving average sticking) → 2500 → 2700–3000
Support below: 2230–2250 (intraday lows + Fibonacci 0.618) → 2200 (psychological level) → 2100 (the “iron bottom”)
For short-term traders:
Wait for a pullback to 2230–2250 to enter; stop-loss at 2180 (leave if it breaks). First target 2370–2400—take half off the table. If it breaks above 2400 on volume, chase the long; stop-loss at 2320, aiming for 2500–2700.
For swing traders:
Wait for the daily close to hold above 2400 before going in with heavier size. Use a dynamic take-profit and hold on—don’t let volatility shake you out.
For long-term believers:
DCA into the 2200–2300 range with your eyes closed. With the triple drivers of Glamsterdam, ETFs, and RWA, a return to 3000+ in the second half of 2026 is a high-probability scenario. If it breaks below 2180, cut losses—don’t fight the market.
ETH right now is like BTC at the end of 2023—
99% of people are too scared by the macro backdrop to act, but once the ETFs got approved, it doubled.
The day ETH breaks through 2400, you’ll realize: it’s not that Ethereum can’t do it—it’s that you keep cutting your position before dawn. #Gate广场五月交易分享 #美国4月PPI同比暴涨6% $BTC $ETH
