The first time I seriously looked at @0G_labs, my instinct wasn't excitement but a sense of pressure. It doesn't feel like an ordinary L1; it’s more like trying to redefine the underlying operating system of the AI era.
The key point of $0G is not storytelling but structural integration capability. It unifies storage, computation, data availability, and model execution into the same layer architecture, allowing AI to no longer rely on centralized clouds but to complete training, inference, and invocation on-chain. This design essentially pulls AI back from the platform era into the protocol era.
My personal biggest impression is that it’s not about optimizing Web3 but about pre-defining the standard interface for AI Web3.
If this structure works out, developers will no longer need to stitch together AWS, model APIs, and on-chain systems but can directly build applications on a unified AI operating system.
Of course, the issues are very real—performance boundaries, real AI workloads, and decentralized computing costs are not easy to solve. But its ambition is not at the product level; it’s a rewrite at the infrastructure level.
If Ethereum defined assets, then @0G@ attempts to define the operating environment for AI.
